Mexican side Celaya FC Match Tomorrow
Are you ready?

The Sounders are gearing up to take on Mexican side Celaya FC tomorrow. The game will be live streaming from Tucson, Arizona on the Sounders website, so you can watch from anywhere with wifi. Sometimes it’s hard to imagine a day when it was easy to miss a game just by not being home, traveling or even having the TV out. Rave Green is going for its first game of the official season in just about two weeks, so this will give us a chance to see how the team is really stacking up with so many newbies on board. It will be the team’s third preseason game.

It also sounds like we may get to see Jordan Morris live in action on Tuesday. Morris admits that he has not talked to Seattle Sounders Head Coach Sigi Schmid very much, but he did tell the press that he is fit and ready to go if he does get the call to be put in the game. We have not really seen Morris in action yet with the team much, but it was no fault of his own. After signing with the Sounders, Morris was with the USMNT in California where he received yet another two international caps. If Schmid does decide to put him in tomorrow, a lot of fans will be watching with bated breath to see if his talents measure up in the big leagues.

Morris did attend camp on Monday, which Schmid commented on. So many people are saying that Morris will be the new team golden boy sent in to take the Green to the cup this year, but Schmid dispelled the myth at its roots. ““There’s no saviors out there. It’s a sport that requires 11 players… He’s part of a team concept, he’s a good team player, he works hard for the group and he’s shown ability to do special things,” he said.

Maybe so, but players and fans alike are both making a big deal about Morris calling shotgun in the van, which is something rookies just don’t do. Take it easy, guys: apparently it was a prank on the young newbie. Brad Evans even copped to telling him that he should sit there!
