Last thing from Jeffrey Todd's chat, for us as M's fans, was

Any other good SS trade options aside from Cozart?

I'd say Villar is probably the best potentially available player, though MIL isn't going to just take good value in a deal. They'll ask for the moon. Otherwise, you're maybe looking at guys like Jose Iglesias, Danny Espinosa -- poor hitters with good gloves.

.

At My Northwest, Scott Servais commented on Ketel Marte's situation.  He said a lot of very polite things, and then gave us his thoughts:

.

“Young player, he’s growing, he’s learning, and he’s got a bright future ahead of him, it’s just where does he fit for us going forward?” Servais said. “You know, we’ll see what happens this offseason.”

.

In other words, Marte stands about where Mike Zunino and James Paxton did twelve months ago.  That's a head-scratcher for me -- from my standpoint, competing in the major leagues at age 22 is just as good as doing it in AA -- but their Always Com-Pete worked okay for Zuum and Zeus.
