With a contemptous wave off of the Twins as no issue, which forms the height of boundless wisom on Dr. D's part.  Unless and until the Twinks get to that Sept. 22 four-gamer with the Tigers and play well in it.  I personally don't expect 'em to, which is loosely speaking allows us to treat the scanrio as if it was a past event. so

The four teams really out of it are Jays -10, A's -14, Detroit 17, ChiSox -26.   The Twins have few Powerhouses to go againt, and a nice cushion.  I still don' buy what they're sellin.

They said Dylan Bundy threw the best game of his career against us, so, that happens.  It goes back to the idea of a single SP, top of his game, personally dedicing a baseball game.  AT BJOL they are discussing the fact that Sandy Koufax had (3) seasons in which the difference tween "Inner Circle HOF'er and [what Koufax actually did] was also the difference tween the Dodgers losing, vs. winning the Series.  It's a unique situation in all sports history.

Baseball is wonderful that way, that the Opening Pitcher CAN make the other 17 people moot.  < --- Important, thinks Dr D.

But it goes back to our earlier look at the fact that managers are trying to create PERFECT ROSTER STORMS in a particular year; thats a far more MACRO strategy than simply buying WAR for the fewest dollars possible.  The GM then gets to wear that ring to dinner parties, while walking through the HOF, while sitting across the table from younger GM's, and so forth.
