With four days left of 2015, the Storm featured their fourth cool fact of the day: Sue Bird scoring her 5,000th career point! Today it was also celebrated that Bird made 2,000 career assists. That is pretty amazing, even for Bird, and people expect things from her to be incredible at all times. Yesterday’s share was actually quite similar: it was a more cartoonish version of Bird that celebrated her as the ONLY player to score 5,000 career points and make 2,000 career assists. Amazing doesn’t even come close, does it?
The day before that, with five days left of the New Year, a cool photo of Jewell Loyd and Ramu Tokashiki—a back to back image of two fan favorites that you may want to save for the desktop—declared that the two power players were named to the WNB All-Rookie Team. Sure, they were named on September 24, a little while ago, but it is still definitely big news for both of the women and something to truly be celebrated.
With six days left before 2016, the Storm tweeted a day earlier about how the team took over Sea Tac for a group health community practice on August 18, marking another cool memory to share. With only a few days left before 2016 arrives, what other fun facts do you think the team will share? Will Loyd or Bird make the list again—or maybe Wright?
