Wow… as I have said before, what a difference a game makes.

Suddenly the Hawks go from Goat to Hero. The impressive win on Thursday night football, against divisional opponent San Francisco, suddenly has catapulted the team right back into NFC front of the pack.

The legion of boom certainly was back, but the 49ers sure made it look easy at the same time on Thursday.

Capernick was a human Dartboard back there getting plunked by Hawk defenders left and right. Often times I thought Bennett must have been hiked alongside the football as he was eating defenders alive and getting to Cap before he had a chance to look at his first progression.

Much of this front line defensive surge was assisted by a blanketing of coverage in the backfield, and the 9ers just managed around 150 total yards of offense total.

Seattle is certainly not without their flaws, though, and offensively much needs to be done to improve and beat better football teams.

As always you can count on Marshawn Lynch to put in some work, and he looks like he is finally at 100 percent, which should quickly help this hapless air attack.

Marshawn almost surprised me even more by making the long walk to the big stage after the game in what many thought was going to be a rare Lynch interview. Unfortunately, as we all should have known, he was just saying Hi to Primetime and the guys with no intentions on staying.

Besides Lynch however, the offense is bleak at best. Wilson is finding himself laying down more than standing up, and has been unable to produce much with his legs. This newly constructed line just is not holding up for him, and often times he is not getting rid of the ball quick enough to boot.

Wilson’s lone great play came on the first TD, a play-action fake bomb to Tyler Lockett for 6 pts. Otherwise he made some poor decisions and was intercepted twice. When he was not getting picked off earlier this season he was putting it on the turf in the form of fumbles, and must make sure to possess the ball as he has been more of a game manager this season.

Lastly, and most mind-boggling, is the continued misuse of Jimmy Graham… Why the team feels they can continue to not spread him wide and find miss matches is beyond me. Why they continue to have him get banged around blocking on the line and give him far fewer targets then humanly possible is a disgrace. If this is the case let’s just get Unger back in town to help this line out because Graham has provided little for this offense.

Fix these issues and the next step should be beating a more quality opponent, which the Hawks have yet to do. Looking ahead the Cardinals should prove to be that test, and will really show who lead the pack in the NFC West.
