Been trumpeting Kila for 2 solid seasons now. He's never really gotten a chance, but deserves one.
Last year's Tacoma farmhands Prentice Redman and Chris Shelton rip up the PCL.
Redman is a .336-.378-.605 guy right now
Shelton is a .324-.390-.532 guy.
Sigh.
BTW....Can we figure out a way to get Kila Ka'aihue from the Royals? Sheesh...his AAA OBP is .466! My new guy to root for, John Lindsey with the Dodgers' AAA team. 33 years old, never had a cup of coffee in the bigs. Currently hitting .421 with a .457 OBP. C'mon Joe, call him up!

Carp isn't showing anything. Kila has more patience, more power, better glove.
With the way this season is going....I was surprised that Shelton was jettisoned so easily when he really had a potential bat early with Detroit and resembled some of it, especially last Spring Training. As you said, at the same time, Carp has shown little.
Can we take some mulligans here?
