Wasting Time at One of Austin’s Best Bookstores

If your special someone happens to be the literary type, why not take a day out to spend time at one of the city’s amazing bookstores? Though these are by no means the only bookstores in town, they are some that other Austin residents highly recommend. BookPeople sits at the top of the list and for good reason. They have events all year long, an indoor café, tons of books to choose from and they’ve even been rated as Austin’s best for 15 years in a row. Or if you’re in the mood to read some more radical literature, head to Monkeywrench Books.

Read Together at One of St. Louis’ Best Bookstores

Bookstores may be a dying breed, but they’re not gone yet. For the literary couple that wants to get out and spend a day together, there are several great destinations in our city. One of everybody’s favorites has to be Subterranean Books. This long-time St. Louis treasure has been rated as the best independent bookstore in the city on several occasions and offers a wide selection of interesting literature. Another great spot is Patten Books, particularly if you’re in the market for some more serious reading.
