Box office shake up: Which movie debut took the top spot?

Late last week, I wondered whether others loved a good Liam Neeson action-thriller movie as much as I did. I’ve got my answer now, and that answer is a resounding “yes.” Neeson’s latest film, Non-Stop, took the number one spot at the weekend box office, finally knocking The Lego Movie out of first place.

Robinson Cano's "Net Drill"

.

There's a spirited debate, in the shout box, as to the value of Cano's "net drill."  Some think it's a panacea; others think it's just the "placebo effect" of having a Real Hall of Famer(TM) personally coach you.  One amigo wondered, plausibly, whether Smoak had actually done the "net drill" from the right side of the plate anyway (before his short, off-field double that day).

....

First of all, here is the Ryan Divish video.  It shows Smoak taking batting practice, with a "fence" (net) set up close to him, so that he has to swing with the knob of the bat on his belly button.

If you're going to read further, YOU MUST VISIT THIS PAGE FIRST.  ;- )  Very simple texts, awesome .gifs.

....

Second of all, it is true that most hitting tweaks don't matter much.  By "MOST" we do NOT mean "ALL."

Box office preview: Can Liam Neeson carry ‘Non-Stop’ to the top?

I’ll be honest: I heart Liam Neeson. I like any movie he’s in, even the awful ones (yep, that includes Taken 2). If I’m flipping channels and I see Liam Neeson on the screen, I stop and watch. The man stands out, even in the just so-so movies he’s done. My favorite Neeson film? Schindler’s List, of course. But I’ll be the first one to say I was so pleasantly shocked when we saw Taken – loved it, loved it, loved it.
