See the Stranger Side of San Jose

The next time you and your special someone want to explore some of San Jose, try looking at the stranger side of the city. The RosicrucianPark and EgyptianMuseum is a great place to stop off if you’re interesting in some history. Wander the park and see everything that it has to offer. Or do something different and peruse the San Jose Flea Market. Most of what you’ll find there is junk, but you never know when something interesting might catch your eye.

Explore Boston’s Weird Attractions

If you and your loved one want to wander around and see the city, avoid the usual attractions and try out one of Boston’s stranger tours. It’s a great way to enjoy yourselves while learning about some of the odder things the city has to offer. Boston Duck Tours is one option. You’ll travel on both land and water in a converted World War II vehicle while discovering new things about Boston. Or head out in the dead of night on the Ghosts and Gravestones Frightseeing Tour if you wish to get a peek at the scarier side of the city.

Dating for the Active Los Angeles Couple

When you want a day out with your special someone to be something a little more active, look around for the fun and exciting things to do in the LA area. Enjoy some horseback riding in the Hollywood Hills by signing up for a sunset ride. Or travel a little ways to the San Bernardino Mountains and try your hands at a zip-line course. Of course, you better be ready for a good hike if you want to make it to the course.

DVD/Blu-Ray Releases for July 1st

Every week brings the release of some of your favorite films to the world of DVD and Blu-ray. As a courtesy to you, I’ve hunted down some of this week’s releases so that you can decide just how to stock your collection.

Afflicted - For couples that love scary movies, Afflicted is a fairly well-reviewed movie about a couple of friends that travel the world only to have one of them come down with some sort of crazy disease. The movie won several horror movie awards and is likely a good choice for a date night.

Fun and Active Things to Do in Chicago

For some couples, keeping active is an important part of their lives. The next time you feel like spending time together, combine a date with something healthy. Grab your bike (or just rent one) and head down to Lakefront Path. With more than 26 miles to travel, you can keep pedaling for as long as you want. Or try something new by signing up for a paddleboarding class. You may just find this activity to be one of your new favorite ways to get a little exercise in. Or just head to one of Chicago’s beaches and spend all day swimming in the ocean and getting a fabulous tan.

Take In the Miami Skyline with Your Special Someone

Few things are more romantic than being able to enjoy some time with your special someone while taking in a magnificent view of the city’s skyline. So find a Miami location that offers the best view and make a couple’s night of it. Travel to the Viceroy for two excellent options. There’s the Eos, a 15th-floor restaurant and bar that focuses on top-notch fare, and Club 50, so named because of its position on the 50th floor. The latter also happens to be a club with a rooftop pool and a lounge.
