Beer Cruise Bottoms Out Near the Statue of Liberty

Those that were aboard the Craft Beer and Tasting Sail drinking cruise this last Saturday may have noticed something a bit strange when the boat simply stopped moving. Or maybe they were so busy they didn’t notice at all… who knows? Either way, this beer-themed cruise ended up bottoming out on the rocks near the Statue of Liberty.

Trio Robs Restaurant with… A Machete?

Of all the strange weapons to use for a robbery, a recent crime in New York was facilitated by a machete. Even more bizarre, the trio of men that performed the robbery didn’t stop at grabbing the money - they took the entire register. I guess it’s easier to carry a cash register than it is to just shove a wad of cash into your pocket?

Indulge in Houston’s Amazing Architecture

For couples that enjoy wandering around and seeing the most beautiful manmade things that their city has to offer, consider an architectural tour of Houston. There are many great buildings to see and here are a few of the most popular. One great destination is RiceUniversity. Their administration building is but one magnificent structure you’ll encounter there. Or stop by the Alley Theatre, a strange and unusual building that was designed specifically with the intention of creating something unique.

NYC Urban Legends - A Time Traveler in Times Square?

Here’s one of the more interesting urban legends to make its way through New York’s history. Apparently, some time back in 1950, a man appeared in Times Square, popping in from out of nowhere. According to “witnesses” he looked confused and was dressed in Victorian clothes. Then he got hit by a car and died.
