An Animal-themed Outing for Your Next Date

Not everyone gets the chance to wander the face of the Earth and see all that it has to offer with their own eyes. So for those that love animals but don’t have the time and money, an animal-themed date could be just the thing for a fun day out. Check out the Franklin Park Zoo to get a glimpse of some exotic creatures from all around the world, from lions and tigers to gorillas and kangaroos. Or head to the New England Aquarium if you prefer the company of sea turtles, sharks and penguins.

Spend Your Date with the Animals

If you and your loved one enjoy exotic and beautiful animals, consider making your next date animal-themed. There are several great places in and around Austin to visit and spend a fun date checking out creatures from around the world. The obvious choice for enjoying some time with the animals is to hit up the Austin Zoo. This zoo has a unique claim to fame in that the vast majority of its animal residents are rescues. Or travel a bit southwest out to Animal World and Snake Farm, one of the area’s most popular ways to view everything from wild animals to a variety of reptiles.

Easy service project

Every year, our local 4-H organization participates in the Soils and Crops Conference. Last year we attended, and we had to leave a bit early because Wood Sprite was bored and restless. It’s difficult for a seven-year-old to sit through a bunch of speeches and awards, after all, and there’s not a lot for children to do at the event. We do, however, always create a basket of goodies to donate as a raffle item to help generate funds for 4-H club.
