Ghosts have been a part of the game ever since the first Sims was released. In The Sims, ghosts would scare your Sims until you deleted their tombstones. (Or had your Sims sleep on the second floor, while the tombstone or urn was on the first floor. Ghosts didn't climb stairs.) Sims 2 introduced ghosts with increased functionality, and different colors depending on the mode of death.

Was Inside Pitch's nickname for the 2nd-year ARod, but now in a better sense might tag Mr. Gutierrez... :- )
First, a correction to my last post. I discovered that skill books don't disappear once your Sim has read them, although it can seem that way. When your Sim finishes reading a book, it goes into their personal backpack (the panel formerly known as Inventory). So it LOOKS like it disappears, but it's there, honest!
Over the weekend, I decided that my generational challenge family (we're up to the letter G) would lose all their money in the stock market, move out of their ancestral home, and start over. Of course, I wanted them to take a few items with them when their house went into foreclosure and they had to leave.
When you install the Sims 2 Seasons expansion packs, one of the random bits of silliness that comes with it is the penguin.
The first time my Sims sat down to a dinner of sparkling food, I didn't think anything of it. They were eating a dish of blackened Cajun catfish, and I thought it was just a sparkling dish. With the Cajun spices and all. I took note, but didn't bother to snap a picture.
