Movie review: ‘Hours’
Hours is a tough film to get through. That’s not to say it’s not worth the effort – it is, or it was, for me. I’ve written before about how much I respected actor Paul Walker for his many humanitarian efforts, and while I’ve never been a huge fan of the Fast & Furious movie franchise, I know some of you are. Paul Walker was fun in those films.

It's turkey time! Yesterday I went to the grocery store and one entire fifteen-foot section of the meat department freezer was filled to overflowing with enormous frozen turkeys.

Don't make the mistake of thinking you can buy a turkey the night before. A frozen turkey will take several days to thaw safely. And almost every store everywhere sells only frozen turkeys, no thawed ones.

Self-described ghost hunters burn down historic mansion
When a group of so-called ghost hunters visited a historic plantation in Louisiana, they had a quiet night. With no signs of ghosts, the young men got bored and decided to kill some time by smoking pot and drinking beer. Thus fortified, they decided that the thing to do would be to pile tinder inside the home and burn it to the ground.
The Lebeau plantation was built in 1850, and was completely destroyed in the fire. Way to go, guys.
