Toddler buys a car with dad’s smartphone

Sorella Stoute of Portland Oregon is only one year old. But that didn’t keep her from accidentally buying a car on eBay Motors using her dad’s smartphone. Sorella’s parents didn’t realize what happened until they received the sales confirmation email from eBay.

Fortunately for Sorella’s family, the car was a beat-up 1962 Austin Healey Sprite with a price tag of only $202.50. Sorella’s dad joked that he is planning to keep the car, fix it up, and give it to her for her sixteenth birthday.

D’Antoni blows his top

It’s not as if the Lakers are a fantastic ball club this season. Sure they have, two if not four, future Hall of Famers on their team, but talent doesn't always equal wins. With the Lakers in a heated race to be in this year’s playoffs with Utah, Houston, Portland and Dallas, every win and loss counts. It may not be playoff season yet, but the Lakers need to be playing like it is.

The Lakers get back their core

It would be an understatement to say the Lakers’ hope for this season was far from what played out. After scoring Dwight Howard and Steve Nash in free agency, most people believed that LA would be unstoppable. The front office believed this as well while scoring to two of the biggest names in the game in one offseason. Regardless, the Lakers have yet to look like a championship caliber team. In fact, they have barely looked like a playoff caliber team during their mercurial season. Their playoff hopes are still alive though.

Comic Convention Intro and Beginner’s Survival Guide

The wide world holds many wonders and one of those is the phenomenon that has grown from the rise of geek culture - the almighty comic convention.  Back in the day, conventions were rarely more than a collection of slightly overweight men in their mid-30s with receding hairlines sitting around behind tables and trying to sell comics and toys.  Occasionally there would be a gaming table or two as well, something to do between the hours of browsing.  But now, they've become massive.

Drink beer, do good

While much of the time people head to a pub to get away from the world, there is a new kind of drinking establishment bubbling up that makes going to the pub in the first place a way to give back to the world. Some are calling them "philanthropubs," but whatever you call them, the concept is pretty innovative.

Every time you buy a beer or food, the profits go to a charity of your choice. That's the bottom line.
