Not interested in Miley and Sox say they're counting on top form Clay Bucholtz this year so doubt they move him. Here's the problem...the rotation is not upgraded if all we do is replace Kuma with Karns (who, BTW, also had arm pain last year...so...no, he's not safer for #Health reasons). The rotation was HORRIBLE last year, in part because Paxton and Iwakuma were hurt and Felix was showing severe fatigue...but many of those same factors remain in place.

I don't have a problem at all at not resigning Kuma for 3 years. Jack Z had the real opportunity to make this right but only if Kuma was willing to go 2 years. I wish the best for him but M's need a more reliable (#Health wise) number 2 or 3. This does not make Dipoto an idiot he set his boundary and kept to it apparently. Maeda?

Interesting to look at the FanGraphs depth charts for Marlins pitching. Only Jose Fernandez and #Henderson Alvarez are better than Elias looks to be by their projections. With even a bit of improvement, Elias would be their #3 starter. And both Fernandez and Alvarez have #Health/durability question marks, while Elias is as tough as they come. Maybe the Winter Meetings will clarify this for the Marlins when they spreadsheet the offers and realize that Roenis is actually pretty good.

Vidal Nuno off the 25-man? Would agree he's currently the #2 LH behind a dubious-#Health Charlie Furbush. But he ain't in MY long-term plans. Gopheritis is unresolvable IMHO.

I have a feeling that DuPuis should have hung up his skates and retired when he was first diagnosed with the blood clots. He has a young family and could have easily transitioned into an off-ice position with the team rather than risk a return that could cause him long-term #Health issues. I get that he loves playing the game, but it seems a little selfish of him to take that big of a risk.
