As you roll in to Raid City from the east on I-90, you pass through the outer suburb named Box Elder. Right smack dab on the north side of Box Elder is the sprawling complex known as Ellsworth Air Force base. Unless you have business or family there, it is not a place for random visitors in this post 9/11 age. There is an attraction located just outside of it that is fit for the tourist, however. That attraction is the compact but comprehensive South Dakota Air & Space Museum.

Books are a chief love of many people on this planet. Before there were movies and television to entertain the masses, often reading was the only thing to do. This was, of course, assuming you were privileged enough to even know how to read. For this reason, books, our one true line of history and knowledge, were treated with reverence and awe. And the structures that people built to house them reflected this reverence and continue to do so to this very day.

When it's garbage time, Ichiro plays like it's garbage time. Last half hour in the gym, three hours in, dudes are just hanging at half court picking cherries.
When Ichiro is playing in meaningless baseball games, -25 games out of first, with guys hitting .179 ahead of him in the lineup, Ichiro goes up and flails away for hits. This approach produces worse stats overall, and he probably knows this, but "200 hits" has been the little roach pet that he twigs around in the dungeon cell.
In 2010, he had a lot of fun with this little insect companion, logging 214 hits as the Mariners scored their 513 deadball-era runs. In 2011, the little roach pet died on him. Fortunately for him, the Americans entered Berlin and threw the dungeon door open.
