On Kevin Calabro, ESPN-710, about 3:20.
FLIP: Jon with another of his patented pitch-flight graphs, this one on Snell.
When news of Betancourt's death proved to be unexaggerated, we opined at D-O-V that this must mean a deal for a SS was in the works.
I am sure there are several couples who are not in the media who are and will stay loyal to their spouse, and the media always does the best with bringing out the worst, but you start to wonder, is anyone still loyal these days?
Now that The Sims 3 has shipped, the internet in general is outraged at how few in game items shipped with the base game. To some people, EA is simply rubbing salt in the wound by offering stuff packs for sale on the Sims 3 website on launch day.
EA recently announced that The Sims 3 has "gone gold," which means that a finalized version of the game has been sent off to be manufactured. This is reassuring news for those of us who have endured endless delays with other Will Wright games (like Spore, which won Wired's Vaporware of the Year award for 2008).
All signs point to June 2nd as being the day when The Sims 3 will finally drop in stores. Personally, I'm astonished that the game's release date was only pushed back once. (It was originally scheduled to be released last November.)

In a move which surprised no one, EA has http://thesims3.ea.com/view/pages/newsItem.jsp?item=1183392783">officially pushed back the Sims 3 release date to June 2.
Rumors of a delay in the Sims 3 release date are gaining more credence. Snooty Sims reports that Electronic Arts is quoted as saying "We are evaluating the launch window" in an article at the Eurogamer website.
European stores are being told that the game will be released in "the first half of 2009," which could mean as late as June. Will the game hit the U.S. before being released in Europe? Doubtful. EA has said they will issue a definitive statement regarding the release date on Tuesday, February 3rd, so stay tuned!
