I just love to see awesome proposals and other sweet relationship videos online. Over the weekend I received a link to the video “Crush” on vimeo and I had to recommend it. There’s some adult material (references to drug use) but for the most part, it’s innocent and adorable and I highly recommend it.

Q. Does anybody like the idea of Nelson Cruz?
A. The Mariners like the idea. In fact, it's gaining traction.
As is the idea that the Mariners have more, not less, information than we do.
.
Q. "If you can't explain something simply, you don't understand it well enough." Explain, very simply, why the Seattle internet thinks of Nelson Cruz as something brown and unpleasant.
A. People think of HR and RBI as "irrelevant."
GM's do not.

Remember when I said that it seemed like White House Down was just like Olympus Has Fallen? No? Well, I definitely did. The two films came out earlier this year, within a few months of each other, and while I really liked Olympus, I just didn't see the point in spending more money to see it remade. I was kind of wrong. These two movies are just different enough, and I saw them far enough apart, that the similarities weren't a huge issue for me.
My family is on a huge DIY kick right now. We are finding free wood pallets everywhere and using them for everything! Sunday Indy made our archery range hay holder out of pallets, and this week he’s going to start on Wood Sprite’s clubhouse. We are very excited about all of these fun projects. Here are some others that I ran across.
November is kind of the stepchild of the calendar, isn’t it? There are few decorations outside the weird pilgrims and happy to be eaten turkeys or native people appropriations, and stores jump from Halloween to Christmas overnight. Thanksgiving is a time of thanks for some, and a time of pain and remembrance for others as genocide is glorified into a symbol of universal brotherhood in school pageants across the country. It’s also a time of Mercury retrograde, if that matters to you.

Is the weather outside turning frightfully cold? Can't bear to leave the house to go to a theater and check out some of the newest films in theaters? Don't want to spend a small fortune? You're in luck, because November 2013 promises to be a good one for those of us with Netflix instant streaming. I was so excited with some of last month's new offerings (Ghostbusters and Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, most notably), and I'm equally excited about what's coming out right now. Most of these movies are already streaming - some will be in the next few days. Hang tight.
