Mediocre sequels

Jack Finney's novel Time And Again is a marvelous read with a unique plot told in an engaging first-person narrative. Simon Morely, an artist working in advertising in New York City, meets a U.S. Army officer named Ruben Prien. Prien tells Morely all about a unique project he is working on related to time travel, one done via hypnosis. Intrigued, Morely thinks it over and decides to take part.

What does Canada think about the Keystone Pipeline?

As someone who has lived in the United States for most of my life, I have to admit that I spend very little time thinking about Canada. At one point I lived near the northern border of Minnesota, and also in Alaska, but as for spending physical or mental time there? Not really.

Lately the Keystone Pipeline project has been all over the U.S. news. The Keystone Pipeline would send synthetic crude oil from Canada down through several refinery hubs in the U.S. and end in Texas near Houston.

Funny things you hear as an American traveler

“American? Obama, Obama, Obama!” If you've ever been to Indonesia and you are from the United States, you've definitely heard this chant before. As well as seeing how much Indonesians love Obama, you’ll also be told a few times daily how Obama went to school in Java (true fact). While the love and conversation can be quite nice, hearing positive things about your country of origin isn't often abundant. The good ol’ USA doesn't always stir positive emotions in others while traveling.
