Spec's College Nickel Package -- Week 2

1. Lane Kiffin

Why did I always have the sneaking suspicion that Kiffin was another Mike Shula or David Shula or [sorry to bring up the name, Washington and UCLA fans] Rick Neuheisel.

As in: the "hot coach" who's more sizzle than steak.

Isn't USC supposed to roll out NFL bodies up and down the field?  Isn't Marqise Lee one of the top talents in the land?

54 yards passing?

Longest pass play: 8 yards?

Give credit to the Washington State defense, but ... wow ...

Canyonlands National Park

If you want to take a meaningful trip with other Jewish singles or take a trip to somewhere special with your sweetheart, try Canyonands National Park in Utah. Explore these large river canyons together and connect with something much bigger than you are as you make your way through the park by biking, walking, backpacking and other means. Have you already visited Canyonlands Naitonal Park before? How did you like your visit?

"World's oldest hamburger" found in man's pocket

In 1999, a Utah man named David Whipple stuffed a McDonald's hamburger into his coat pocket. He later found the burger, and miraculously it has seemingly survived the decades virtually unchanged. Dubbed the "world's oldest hamburger," Whipple's apparently immortal hamburger recently made the rounds on The Doctors, where they inspected the burger with visible expressions of horror.

D’Antoni blows his top

It’s not as if the Lakers are a fantastic ball club this season. Sure they have, two if not four, future Hall of Famers on their team, but talent doesn't always equal wins. With the Lakers in a heated race to be in this year’s playoffs with Utah, Houston, Portland and Dallas, every win and loss counts. It may not be playoff season yet, but the Lakers need to be playing like it is.

The Lakers get back their core

It would be an understatement to say the Lakers’ hope for this season was far from what played out. After scoring Dwight Howard and Steve Nash in free agency, most people believed that LA would be unstoppable. The front office believed this as well while scoring to two of the biggest names in the game in one offseason. Regardless, the Lakers have yet to look like a championship caliber team. In fact, they have barely looked like a playoff caliber team during their mercurial season. Their playoff hopes are still alive though.
