As anyone who’s ever been a parent knows, kids are damned expensive. Not only do they require that you buy all sorts of stuff for them, they also limit the time you have to make a living or get ahead through extra work. So it’s a double-whammy to the wallet. There’s also the issue of when you first have a kid and have to take time off of work. Now, City Hall looks to be promoting a new program that may help alleviate at least some of the burden of parenting in NYC.
