Whew! But I will tell you what, it is still a very nice haul for #Milwaukee. Assuming that just one of those guys gets to the bigs (a fair assumption considering that all had very impressive starts), then 1 year of Lind for several years (perhaps) of a "good" young thrower is still a good get for #Milwaukee. If two of those guys get to #Milwaukee, then this will be a major Brewer victory......unless we get all the way to the ALCS. I am not confident Lind will resign with us (unless we offer a bunch right now). A lot of teams would like his services.

The injury thing might make sense, but you would assume that #Milwaukee would be all over him passing a physical, too. And I think all players have to, correct? With the bat, diderot, he surely is.

Seeing as how #Boston just signed three or four other GM's, and #Milwaukee and #Detroit are off the table, DiPoto appears to be a Mariner unless he signs with the Phillies (Blech!). #Boston should let him out of his contract early so that he can get started on that Craig Kimbrel trade.

I'm not sure it's too late. If the M's can run off a string of 8-9 wins in a row they will be within striking distance of the #Wild card spot. Heck #Milwaukee won 8 in a row earlier this year. Other teams with winning streaks of 8 or more: HOU, TOR, NYM, SFG, STL, PIT, WSN... if the M's go on a roll, get near .500 by the end of the month, get Furbush back in the pen, get Paxton back for the September run.. who knows. This team has the talent to make a run.

We hope that Lloyd McClendon finds all comfort and peace in his bereavement leave. The Shout Box is also filled with well-wishing.
Some professions, when a disaster happens in your life they give you lots of time. Other professions, no matter what happens, you're back on the job two days later. All careers have some plusses and minuses, and you take the good with the bad. But I'm sorry that McClendon can't spend some more time away from pressure.
