Vacation the Romantic Way

Though Las Vegas may be filled with sights and attractions enough to last a lifetime, sometimes the best way to spice up your relationship is to get away entirely and find a romantic destination somewhere far away. Here are a few suggestions for those considering a couples’ vacation. The Lake District in the UK is one amazing place to explore. Wander the sixteen lakes and the small villages, enjoying some of the most beautiful scenery you’ll find anywhere.

Take the Romance Abroad

Seattle may be a wonderful place, but sometimes you just want to get away for a while. So grab up your special someone, take a week off work and head out for a romantic vacation. Try heading to Bali, Indonesia for a getaway. This city is a mixture of wonderful culture, brilliant beaches and all the convenience you could ever hope for. Or if you’d prefer something that feels like it’s right out of the past, try the city of Brugge in Belgium.

The island of Bali in Indonesia is a wonderful place to take a vacation.  With so much culture, so many historic sites and such amazing people, it’s easy to have a truly memorable holiday there.  One place to consider when looking to take a romantic journey to this island is the town of Ubud.  Located near the center of the island, this small town has become a very popular tourist destination.  You can find beautiful remnants of the past sitting be

Located on the island of Lombok, Gunung Rinjani National Park is a great place to spend some time exploring the mountains and jungles of Indonesia.  For couples that want to get away from it all for a while, this is a good destination.  Hire a local hiking guide to show you the best places to explore or just go out on your own if you feel up to it.  Either way, you’re likely to see some interesti

Indonesia is filled with magnificent islands and Pulau Derawan is but one of them.  While there are plenty of beaches and resorts to be seen in the area, this island is known for having an underwater paradise and is a top destination for those seeking to explore this other world.  For couples that enjoy time beneath the waves, this is the place to go.  Go diving or snorkeling and see many wonderful creatures, including dolphins, sea turtles, manta rays, dugongs, jellyfish, crabs and, if you’re there during the r

Loving my new living room

This summer has been the worst for my family in a long, long time. My family had not three but four deaths—my husband just learned of another on his side over the weekend. I had a miscarriage, as did two close friends. I’ve had several dental issues, a tire blowout, a sick kid more often than usual and plenty of other tiny pieces that have added up to make it a really difficult season. I’m SO ready for fall and for some major positivity.

Did you know that cucumbers contain most of the vitamins you need every day? And here I thought they were just water! I love cucumbers so this is great news to me. Now to get Wood Sprite on board somehow… She’s not a fan!

Check out these real life “flying” dragons in Indonesia! Wood Sprite got a kick out of them.

Pyongyang Restaurant

This week, instead of just finding one interesting restaurant, I’ve actually managed to find an entire chain.  This is a series of restaurants opened by the North Korean government in places other than their own country.  They are present throughout many countries in East Asia and are all named after the country’s capital, Pyongyang.  The Pyongyang restaurants, for many, may be the closest they’ll ever be able to get to having a look inside the DPRK.
