Banksy sells works for $60 in street art stunt
That wacky kid and his spray paint antics
Banksy is spending a month as New York City's artist in residence, and over the weekend he pulled yet another wacky stunt. The world-renowned artist created original works of stenciled spray art on individual canvases and sold them for $60 each at a stall on the sidewalk. Presumably most people who passed up the offer thought they were just cheap Banksy knock-offs, but a few people took home works of art which have a potential real value of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
