Fun September crafts

What is your favorite fall craft to do as a family?

Yesterday was in the 80s, but before that we had a couple of really fall-ish days of weather that are wrecking havoc on my allergies—and making my heart leap with anticipation at the same time. I just love the fall! I used to love the spring in Missouri, too, but lately our springs are so brief that there’s barely a season to enjoy before summer takes over.

During the fall and winter months, The S family makes more crafts than any other time of the year, and I’m sure that’s the case with a lot of families. It’s not just being indoors more often (we do many crafts outside); it’s also the season for fun holidays. Here are some fun September crafts I have bookmarked for us to do; what’s on your fall craft agenda?

These paper scrap fall trees from Let’s Explore are absolutely adorable! I am thinking of making big ones for the walls—but not in the living room. I love the sparse decorating we have up since the painting and am sticking with it for a little longer (or at least until Halloween!).

Art Projects for Kids has another wonderful fall leaf tutorial. I am also using her guides to drawing maple leaves and pumpkins.

These 40 fall nature decorating ideas from DIY Enthusiasts are sure to inspire! They’ve got me pretty excited. Most look simple enough to figure out, but I do wish they had tutorials.

How about these cute pumpkin pom poms?

Dollar Store Crafts shows you how to make an end-of-summer sea glass mobile with your beach finds.
