Date Watch: Sunshine Cinema's Midnight Film Series

When it comes to good old fashioned romance, few things can compare to a simple midnight movie. Thankfully, NYC is practically overflowing with places to find just that. If you're looking for a fun February date destination, head down to Sunshine Cinema and find out if these classic movies are even better on a big screen. The best part? Admission is just $10, so you can set the mood without straining your budget.

Howl's Moving Castle
This unique animated film tells the story of a young woman cursed with age by a jealous witch. Her only hope of breaking the curse lies in the hands of a mysterious (yet handsome) magician and his unusual walking home. This fantastically strange adventure features the voice talents of Christian Bale and Lauren Bacall.

Moulin Rouge
When Christian left his home with a dream of becoming a "tragically bohemian" writer, he had no idea just how tragic his life would become. Enchanted by the Moulin Rouge's star courtesan Satine, he learns the hard truths of Parisian showbusiness while discovering a love of epic proportions. Starring Ewan MacGregor and Nicole Kidman, this jukebox musical is one of the finest romantic films I've ever seen.

Other films in this month's Midnight Film Series include Spaceballs and The Room.
