One NYC Teen Rolling in Cash Thanks to Stock Market

Most of us wish we’d been a little bit smarter in our teenage years and taken advantage of all that youthful energy to do more than party and chase members of the opposite sex. And while we might not necessarily regret our past, it’s a story like this that lets us know the potential we may have had. For a high school kid named Mohammed Islam has apparently made millions in the stock market.

Whoops. That appears to be a load of BS. The truth of the matter is that news sites were reporting on the teenager making millions without doing any fact checking. The teenager in question later admitted that he was making the entire thing up. There is a small bit of truth in it, however. The teen was playing with simulated stocks and if he had had the money to invest for real he would have made more than $72 million. It kinda makes you wonder if Mohammed is going to grow up with more regret than any of us.
