This beautiful swimming spot is privately owned, and you must be registered at the nearby inn in order to swim there. But it’s worth the stay at the inn – the swimming hole is at the base of Carmac Falls, and the rustic lodge is exquisite.
This swimming hole is at the end of a 1.25 mile hike through the lovely forest of Cummins Falls State Park. The hike can be strenuous and difficult, but the end result is well worth it: a gorgeous pool at the base of the falls, complete with a rope swing.
