The best hot springs in Miami
Hot springs are an excellent, all-natural way to relax, recuperate, and even possibly help recover from an illness. People have been using hot springs as a therapeutic treatment for thousands of years. Here are our picks for the top three hot springs near Miami.
Warm Mineral Springs, North Port, FL
Check before you go, as it seems that this particular hot springs has been having some problems staying open lately, due to permitting issues. When it’s open, it boasts the only naturally heated hot springs in Florida.
This historic location was converted into a gorgeous swimming pool in 1923, and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The pool is filled with spring water from an underground aquifer, and is drained and refilled daily during the spring and summer.
Although not technically a spring, we are including this location as being one of the best snorkeling spots in Florida. An outcropping of rocks forms a reef in the ocean which attracts countless beautiful fish, and it makes for an amazing swim.
