Utah’s best parks
Utah has some of the most amazing scenery in the country. Visiting Utah’s parks is a great way to take in the sights without breaking the bank. Here are our picks for the top three parks in Utah.
Aptly named, this park is comprised of three districts, which are separated by deep river channels. The northern section is called Island in the Sky, and has stunning views of the Colorado and Green rivers. The Needles District is filled with red rock and sandstone spires and fins. And the rugged Maze District is remote, and beloved of author Edward Abbey.
With some of the most spectacular hiking routes in the country, Zion is world famous for good reason. Zion also has plentiful photography opportunities, equestrian routes, guided hikes and walks, road cycling, and whitewater rafting in season.
From a 9,000 foot elevation, Bryce Canyon looks out over country filled with hoodoos, those strange, conical sandstone spires shaped by weather that have to be seen to be believed. Explore the canyon on foot, on horseback, or by car.
