Widely considered one of the most beautiful stretches of ocean on the New England coastline, Beavertail State Park has 170 acres of property near Jamestown, and offers hiking trails, numerous scenic viewpoints, and excellent saltwater fishing.
If you are interested in surfing, then Misquamicut State Beach is the place for you! Built in 1959 after the hurricane damaged the beachfront area, this is one of Rhode Island’s most popular parks.
This stately park was originally a private estate, with broad fields and amazing landscaping. It was entrusted to the state in 1930, and includes two miles of shoreline along Greenwich Cove. For picnicking, walking, equestrian sports, games, or the outdoor performing arts, Goddard Memorial State Park is the place to go.
