San Francisco is a city that is rich with the history of many centuries. The next time you want to take a day out to spend some time with the one you love, consider exploring the city and seeing some of these famous places. AlcatrazIsland and the prison that sits there are by far some of the more well-known places, though make sure to reserve your spot on the tour as it’s very popular. Or head to the MaritimeStateHistoricPark and get a glimpse of the city’s water-based history. And if old architecture is your thing, try a relaxing walk by the Old Ohio Street Houses or check out the Embarcadero Historic District for a variety of interesting buildings.
