Some Great Ways to Pass a Day in Honolulu

Looking for a cool special event to attend during the latter half of May? Here are two things taking place that you might want to check out. And if you have a like-minded special someone, you can even turn your day away into a fun date.

Greenroom Festival - NealS.BlaisdellCenter - May 31st

This event brings together many of the best parts of living in Honolulu. It’s a surf-centric festival that features a variety of live bands on two stages, along with many of surfing’s top names. Plus, there will be food, drink and other entertaining activities for you to take part in while you pass the time.

Lantern Floating Hawaii - AlaMoanaBeach - May 25th

This uniquely Hawaiian Memorial Day tradition brings together the diverse cultures that inhabit the islands to celebrate this American holiday in a special way. See the ritual that goes into honoring the fallen, complete with ceremonial dancing, prayers and, of course, a fabulous parade of floating lanterns.
