Classes and Workshops of the Week - May Week Three

Sometimes you want to spend an afternoon or a night learning something new. NYC has opportunities aplenty when it comes to finding fun and interesting classes and workshops where you can pick up new skills at (usually) reasonable prices. Here are a few of this week’s highlights.

Street Art Tour: Lower East Side to SohoBrooklyn Brainery – May 21st

Experience a unique side of New York’s culture by taking a trip down to the Lower East Side and checking out all the street art. From commissioned works to those that people create under the cover of night, there is plenty to see here. And along the way, you’ll get a history lesson about the places you’re visiting.

Making Mandalas – Pioneer Works – May 23rd

This class is more than just a chance to learn how to make the amazing works of art known as mandalas, it’s also a chance to understand the cultural and psychological significance behind them. If you’re an artist who wants to venture into new and exciting forms, then this might be the perfect class for you.
