Though it’s never a problem to find dozens of bands and other musical performances on any night of the week in NYC, here are a couple of highlights for this week. If one of these is up your alley, then stop by and enjoy some music and everything else the venue has to offer.

John Mellencamp - Isaac Stern Auditorium/Apollo Theater - April 20^th & 21^st/April 23^rd & 24^th

He’s been away from the touring scene for a while now, but Mellencamp is back with a new album and a huge tour and he’ll be playing four separate shows right here in the New York area. So head down and listen to more than 30 years of pure American rock and rock as only this legendary musician can perform it.

Stone TemplePilots - Wellmont Theatre/Irving Plaza - April 25^th/April 27^th

They may have a new man on the mic and have toyed around with lots of different musical styles, but the talents of the Stone Temple Pilots are still obvious. With their latest album, you’ll see a return to the alternative rock that made them famous. So stop off and check them out on one of the two nights they’ll be in NYC.
