Theater Watch: March Week Four

Looking to impress a date by taking them to a quality NYC theater performance? Here’s a brief list of some of the best shows on the stage for the coming week.

Be Careful! The Sharks Will Eat You! - Stage Left Studio - March 26th & 31st

For the thinking couple, here is a play that delves deep into the experiences of a man from Cuba who came to the US on a boat to escape his war-torn country. Learn more about prerevolutionary Cuba as well as the history of the writer in a one-man production that uniquely touches upon the experiences that many Cuban immigrants were forced to face.

Hamlet - Classic Stage Theater - Opens March 27th

The latest production of this classic Shakespeare play brings Peter Sarsgaard into the leading role and promises an amazing performance. The newest incarnation is being billed as a contemporary play, however, so if you’re stuck on traditional Shakespeare, you might want to wait this one out.
