By far one of the most popular tourist destinations in Brazil, Rio de Janeiro is a wonderful place to visit for the couple that wishes to experience the colorful culture of South America.  This massive urban metropolis stretches across miles of coastline, nestled in amongst the coastal foothills.  Sit around on one of the many beaches and relax in the sun or take to the city and seek out all the best restaurants, shopping districts and entertainment venues.  Explore the many museums, galleries and other cultural attractions.  Or stop by during early March to experience the Carnaval, one of the most legendary festivals in the world.  Has anyone been to Rio de Janeiro before?  What were some of your favorite sights there?
