The M's org itself likes Raul Ibanez personalities, detests arrogance ... but in the last several years they've loosened up on the high-maintenance guys, the Milton Bradleys and Erik Bedards.
Now that you guys mention it, I'm not sure how much that applies to pure rookies. Mike Carp certainly had a thumb on the scale against him. Any thoughts as to whether it's THIS factor that is repressing Franklin? They're waiting for him to "get it" as to knowing his place?
