For couples wanting a slightly more leisurely pace during their vacation, think about a trip to Kansas City in Missouri.  This big city offers many of the charms of a place much smaller, with a wealth of cultural attractions.  Spend some time exploring the museums or the many art galleries.  Take a walk through the shopping districts or check out the fine dining options.  Or step out after dark and see what the nightlife of the city has to offer.  If you come by during the right time of there year, there are plenty of festivals and parades that happen in the city as well.  It may not be the world-renowned city that San Francisco is, but there is still plenty to do in this Midwest destination.  Has anyone visited Kansas City before?  How was your stay there?
