Your point is very well taken.
McClendon can be VERY candid about his ballplayers, which is great for us as fans.   Few managers would have come at it like that, but McClendon goes his own way.  Once you get past the surprise, McClendon's In Yo Face reactions probably do a lot more good than harm.
