One interesting way to see the countries of France and Spain is to take a journey down the Way of St. James. This famous pilgrimage route has many branches, so you can start in several different places, though all lead to the Spanish town of Galicia and the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, the reputed burial location of St. James. Some routes are quite long and take many months to travel while others are a bit more forgiving. For a shorter journey, take the Central Portuguese Way which is just 140 miles. For couples that want an interesting and exciting walking adventure, even just a short leg of this trail is worth the time. Has anyone been on the Way of St. James before? What area did you travel?
