Hiking the Chomolhari-Laya-Gasa Trek

Spend a few weeks exploring the mountains of Bhutan

For a two-and-a-half week hiking experience amongst the amazing scenery of Bhutan, take a shot at conquering the Chomolhari-Laya-Gasa Trek.  The route starts at Drukyel Dzong and continues all the way to Punakha, crossing over the mountains, running alongside the Tibetan border and bringing you through some truly breathtaking regions of the country.  And don’t forget to stop off at the many villages that you’ll pass through along the way.  While the trail is fairly easy to hike, the high altitude is perhaps the worst part of it, so it’s probably best to hike this one with a tour group.  Has anyone visited Bhutan before?  What did you see while there?
