Sounders versus Earthquakes
Next game is May 7

If you don’t already have your tickets yet for the Sounders game against the San Jose Earthquakes, you had better nab them now because the next game is rapidly approaching. On May 7th the two teams will be at the Century Link Field at 7:00 PM. If you cannot make the match, you can always tune in with several options: Watch on Q13 Fox, Univision Seattle, or listen via KIRO 97.3 FM and El Rey 1630 AM.

It’s a Western Conference matchup that is not to be missed. The standings right now include Sounders (3-4-1, 10 pts., 9th in Western Conference), Quakes (4-2-3, 15 pts., 5th in Western Conference). The Sounders do not have a history of beating the Quakes without a fight, with their stats at (6-10-3). The past few matches of the Sounders’ have gone well at 3-1-1 and they are three points further along after beating the Columbus Crew last week with Morris’s big goal.

Keep in mind that the Earthquakes have a few ex-Sounders on the team, so there’s that advantage that can also be a bit awkward on the field. Chad Barrett, Sanna Nyassi, Cordell Cato and Bryan Meredith are all Earthquakes that used to play for Seattle. Plenty of the Sounders are healthy and back on the roster, however, including Clint Dempsey, Brad Evans, Nelson Valdez, and Erik Friberg. Added with the power that we’ve seen from Jordan Morris this season, the team could be at full strength for this game. Morris won the last game and scored three goals in as many games, making him a fast Seattle fan favorite.

Prices for single game tickets range from $29 to $95. General admission seating is $35 per ticket. The pregame show begins at 6:30 so be sure to get there early to enjoy the festivities.

Will you be attending the game on Saturday? What do you think the outcome of the match will be? Sound off below with your predictions and hopes for the game. Do you march to the match? If not, you might want to consider taking part in this time honored tradition, which is a fun way to demonstrate your Sounders support in full team colors with all of the other rabid fans of Seattle.  The march tradition started in 2005 and today it’s one of the city’s favorite ways to honor the team as well as fans and rev up before the match.
