Seattle Storm Pics
Check them out on social media

It was a bummer to see the Seattle Storm lose the preseason game against Phoenix, for sure, but there were also some amazing photos and video footage taken of the game. Fans and the Storm itself are sharing both all over the website and social media, some of them with the hashtag #watchmework. Here are some of the photos and highlights that are not to be missed, especially if you missed the game in the first place!

You can see lots of pics of the game here at the Storm website. From Jewell Loyd to Breanna Stewart to Sue Bird and the rest of the team, you can see each Storm woman hard at work, demonstrating amazing athleticism, teamwork and incredible skills. While the margin for the loss was pretty small, you can see how hard the women of the team worked and with this kind of dedication and diligence, they will surely improve for the season opener. It was also really fun to see the youngest fans of Seattle come out and enjoy the game, especially when they got to hang out with Doppler the mascot!

At the Storm Facebook page, you can also see some amazing moves by Jewell Loyd. Loyd looks absolutely fierce on the court, and while a fan compared her to Gus Williams as a compliment, she’s not in the NBA. She’s a strong, talented female athlete who works for the Storm and it’s important to know that.

In that same vein, many people were arguing this week about how Seattle needs a basketball team and arena, with some of them asking for the Sonics to come back. It’s the 20th anniversary of the WNBA and time to remember that Seattle HAS a basketball team and it’s a great team. Not only is the team filled with talent, but it also is filled with caring, dedicated and strong women who take on issues in the Seattle area. From improving playgrounds to motivating students, speaking at engagements to even serving as the face of athletes with dyslexia as Jewell Loyd recently did (how amazing is she!), they give their hearts and souls to the community on a daily basis and it’s just a joy to #watchthemwork.
