Position Preview
Wide Receiver

Golden Tate and his ex-teammate, Jermain Kearse,  just took a little road trip to the Masters this weekend. There, the two probably had plenty to talk about during their time together in Seattle.

While the two caught up, some newer Seattle wideouts took the time to get better acquainted with their quarterback Russell Wilson. Tyler Lockett and Paul Richardson took a roadtrip, of their own, down to USC to cath some passes from the Seahawk's signal-caller. Both hope to be more involved in the Seahawk's plans in 2016.

Lockett is coming off an awesome rookie campaign that saw him catch 51 balls for over 600 yds and 6 scores. He did not stop there with electric play on special teams as well...scoring a punt return and kickoff return for touchdowns as well.

Richardson's role next season is far less certain than Locketts however After being drafted in the second round in 2014, he finds himself buried beneath Doug Baldwin, Kearse, and Lockett on the depth chart. In fact, he registered just one catch last season, and was slowed by a hamstring injury.

Despite this all, perhaps Richardson and Wilson plan on still hooking up often this season than many of us think. Last month the two also got together for some throw and catch as well.

It is going to take some devine intervention for this to happen though. Especially after Kearse resigned this off-season to a three year deal. Initially it seemed unlikely he would return but now he, Baldwin, and Lockett are all under contract...leaving Richardson waiting in their wings.

Doug Baldwin, on the other hand, is waiting also...on a deal for himself, like Kearse got. He is the one whom led the team last season with nearly 80 catches for over 1000 yards and 14 scores. Thankfully, unlike many Seahawks before him, Baldwin is not grumbling and is unconcerned.

Good things will come to those who wait, but he may want to have another monster year to lock up a nice contract in 2017...let's just hope it's in Seattle.

All in all though, the reveiver position in Seattle may be the most seasoned and least concerning aspect of the entire team. You can bet on another great season from Wilson and company this coming year.

Now let's just go get someone to block for Wilson, so he can find the time to throw these guys dimes.
