Monday's (over)reaction
My over-the-top reaction to Sunday's loss

Sunday was tough, while I would have to have written about the game yesterday, it was just too painful. With the anger subsiding but still not gone, here's what I can't understand after the loss to the Bengals.

Why is Michael Bennett so stupid?

I mean the man is very entertaining and witty, yet this season he has just not been thinking. First he threatens to hold out, one year after signing a new contract, and continues his pattern of being drawn offsides. Again Sunday he was drawn offsides and draws a bone-headed personal foul call bringing back Earl Thomas' interception for a good chunk of yards. As a result the Hawks lose some momentum, start farther away from the end zone and settle for a field goal. Now maybe it wasn't a direct cause, but because of his penalty the Bengals defense feels less pressure and is able to hold the Seahawks to a 3 point drive.

Why can't we fit in premier receving targets into our offense?

First Percy Harvin, now Jimmy Graham. Graham finished with only 3 receptions against the Bengals, but rather than blame Darrell Bevell, I'm looking at Russell Wilson. Bevell showed he can work with Harvin in Minnesota, with Harvin putting up career best numbers. But in Seattle he did almost nothing when healthy. So Bevell has proven he knows how to exploit talent. Therefore we have to look at Wilson. Maybe he hasn't built the rapport he has with Baldwin and Kearse who routinly make big plays for him, what concerns me is that Graham hasn't been making those big plays with the regularity Baldwin and Kearse do.

The Offense

Against Detroit they could only muster 13 points, and yesterday only 2 TD's and 17 points. The continue to fail to sustain drives and convert on third down.

On a positive note, I love Thomas Rawls!
