Falcons v. Seahawks has never been so interesting

The only memorable time I can remember the Falcons playing the Seahawks was, yes you guessed it, in the 2012 playoffs. The Hawks seemingly had tons of momentum after knocking off the NFC East champion Washington Redskins, who had Robert Griffin III at the height of his powers.

Then in came the Atlanta Falcons hosting the Hawks in the Georgia Dome, dashing their Super Bowl hopes before having their own ripped away in the NFC Championship game against the 49ers.

This time it's the Falcons playing visitor, traveling cross-country to play the Seahawks at Century Link. Not many teams can handle the journey, not to mention the raucous crowd, and look sharp for four quarters. Nonetheless, this match up is so intriguing on many levels.

The first being the potential of seeing a Julio Jones v. Richard Sherman match up on the outside the entire game. Sherman has not shadowed opponents' receivers that much this season, but showed last year that he can shut down the best of the best when he needs to. However the question is, will Shem cover Julio all game this week? Jones has not faced a corner the type of Sherman before, a bigger, more physical corner - so who knows how Julio Jones is going to handle it.

Really the bigger question is, which Julio Jones shows up against the Seahawks. Will it be the one who went off for 300 receiving yards, or the guy who couldn't even muster five fantasy points for his owners this past Sunday?

One the other hand, the other match up people will be watching will take place on the sideline. A couple former colleagues trying to outsmart each other with Dan Quinn guiding the Falcons in to familiar territory for his. Of course, his mind is matched up for a cigarette. It seems Quinn is still trying to find his style, and it shows with a hot start last year, and no solid direction found yet this year. No doubt Quinn wants to play smashmouth football,  we'll see how it goes when he plays the smashiest of goats or lambs for dinner tonight, nothing like some lamb on Halloween.

Russell Wilson and Tyler Lockett were back in practice Wednesday, and Nash giving the obligatory: "I feel great, i climbed X building and I could have gone for more. Suuuuuure buddy :). But what does an on his game GM really mean?
