Keeping Up with the Storm
Find out what the players are up to

It has been a while since we checked in with the Seattle Storm via social media. Most of the current roster is on Twitter; some even have Instagram and Facebook accounts. The team is well known for its social atmosphere, with players posting updates for fans to enjoy and interacting with the community on a regular basis. For the most accurate and up to date information, be sure to follow each Storm player on her social media account.

Sue Bird is sharing about the launch of her girls’ basketball academy via Gold Coast Sports Academy’s program, Growth Through Sports. It is an incredible opportunity for the young women of the community to learn about basketball, goal setting, leadership and fitness alongside one of the most skillful players in the history of the WNBA. Be sure to visit the page for locations and more information about the program. On Diana Taurasi’s Twitter feed, she says that “Sue looks good. This is the best I’ve seen her look in a long time.” Go Bird! Be sure to hit the regular Seattle Storm Twitter feed to check out more photos of Bird, Loyd and other Storm women as the season approaches.

Jenna O’Hea shared about rejoining the Storm as well as her boyfriend’s birthday. She also looks excited about the return of all of her teammates, sharing all of their news on her Twitter feed! Her cover photo is of her on the beach with family and her boyfriend, all looking quite happy.

Jewell Loyd, who is always fun to follow, has tweeted about how much fun her mother’s stories are, how much she loves Chipotle and how USA basketball is her family. If you do visit Loyd’s page, be sure to check out all of the Instagram photos that she has shared over the past few months. There is a LOT of talent in her photo of the USA team. She also celebrated the announcement of Lisa Borders as the new WNBA president by retweeting an article about the news. Be sure to check out the awesome video of Loyd on the Storm Twitter page, too.

Newcomer Blake Dietrick is also on Twitter. Check out her photos and the posts where Princeton says that she will be missed and wishes her luck! While Nneka Enemkpali is also on Twitter, she requests that her privacy be respected and has her profile set to protected.
