Do you have a charity, nonprofit organization or worthy cause for the Seattle Thunderbirds to support? The team has a long history of helping the community raise money for charitable causes, donating to help fundraising events and making sure the Seattle community is the best that it can be. Interested in getting the T-Birds on board with your project?  Whether you are sponsoring a corporate event, childrne’s charity or other nonprofit activity, here is what you need to know.

The Birds offer nonprofit organizations help in a variety of ways. For auction and charity events, you may be interested in a player visit, souvenir items or even donated game tickets to offer as prizes. They also make great prizes for school rewards, such as reading program incentives. Kids love to get visits from T-Bird players as an incentive for reading, perfect attendance and other accomplishments! Monetary requests for raffles and drives are not available, but there is a wide variety of items to choose from overall.

When you request help from the T-Birds, make sure that it is in a written form with the official letterhead of your organization. Telephone requests are not accepted. Your request should also be made at least one month in advance of requiring the items for your auction, fundraiser or charity. Approved requests will receive a written confirmation up to 8 weeks before your event takes place, so watch the mail. The T-Birds ask that you do not call to check the status of your request. If it is not approved within two to four weeks after you submit it, the request is not approved. You should receive an email notification letting you know that your request was not accepted at this time.

The Thunderbirds receive many charity requests throughout the year, so not every request can be honored. You can always submit another request at another time. When you submit your paperwork, be sure to include the date and location of your event, what kind of fundraiser you are having and how the money you are raising will be spent, your tax ID number, your contact name, phone number and email address, and the address where the Thunderbirds should send their donation.
