Touring the Architectural Side of San Jose

For couples that love great architecture, a day out spent exploring the city can be a fun way to spend some time together. Here are a few San Jose architectural creations that you might want to add to your list of destinations. One place to check out is Alameda Street. All along this historic pathway you’ll find beautiful old buildings. Or if you want to see some truly bizarre architecture, there’s no place better in the entire state than the Winchester Mystery House. This chaotic mess of a mansion defines all common sense with its design.

Checking Out the San Jose Dive Bar Scene

Few things are more relaxing than just sitting at your local dive bar and tossing back a few drinks. Whether you’re spending time with your loved one or trying to meet someone new, dive bars can be the perfect nighttime destination. Check out the aptly-named Dive Bar on E. Santa Clara St. They’re a bit more upscale than what you might expect, featuring DJs, premium liquor brands and karaoke, but it’s still a great place to spend an evening. Or head to Hyde Park Cocktail Lounge, a safe haven against the crowds and noise of the typical drinking scene.
